The Country Club

Both our rooms at the Country Club are licensed to hold Wedding Ceremonies, Civil Partnership Ceremonies and Naming Ceremonies.

The Country Club can accommodate up to 130 guests for a sit down meal and up to 300 guests for an informal reception. It offers an ideal solution for those of you who would like the entire day in one location ensuring there is more time to enjoy your time with family and friends. Also there is little or no transport arrangements to be made for anyone and with the range of accommodation we can offer on the doorstep, your celebration can be extended for as long as you wish.

The Lakeside suite

Our Lakeside Suite at Thorpeness Hotel is ideal for more intimate functions from 10 to 40 guests. It is located away from the busy bar and restaurant, overlooking our garden, and enjoys plenty of privacy in comfortable surroundings.

We can arrange to play some background music during the meal, although there is nothing quite like dining to the sound of a harpist or a piano player. The Meare garden makes an ideal location for photographs and the Terrace is often used for drink receptions or coffee and liqueurs after the meal.

Hotel Restaurant

The hotel restaurant is light and airy, and overlooks the golf course.Seating up to 80 guests this room is available from midday until 5pm.

We regret that evening functions are not possible, as other hotel guests have priority in the evenings for dinner.However during low season,if you take all 36 rooms at the hotel for your wedding guests, you can have exclusive use of the restaurant until late in the evening.

The warm decor and furnishings are perfect for cosy Winter weddings.
