For more intimate weddings the Lakeside room at the Thorpeness Hotel and Golf Club offers a cosy dining experience where you can enjoy the company of family and friends. The Hotel also offers the options of the Library and the Restaurant and not forgeting the Meare Gardens where we can arrange buffets and barbeques for up to 150 persons.
Celebrate in style
Our Lakeside Suite at Thorpeness Hotel is ideal for more intimate weddings from 10 to 40 guests. It is located away from the busy bar and restaurant, overlooking our garden, and enjoys plenty of privacy in comfortable surroundings.
We have facilities to play background music during the meal to add to the atmosphere, or can put you in contact with local musicians; there is nothing quite like dining to the sound of a harpist or a piano player.
The Meare garden makes an ideal location for photographs and the Terrace is often used for drink receptions or coffee and liqueurs after the meal.
Thorpeness Hotel Restaurant
The hotel restaurant is light and airy, and overlooks the golf course.Seating up to 80 guests this room is available from midday until 5pm.
We regret that evening functions are not possible, as other hotel guests have priority in the evenings for dinner.However during low season,if you take all 36 rooms at the hotel for your wedding guests, you can have exclusive use of the restaurant until late in the evening.
The warm decor and furnishings are perfect for cosy Winter weddings.
