The Country Club

Thorpeness village, on the Suffolk coast, was created by the Scottish playwright and barrister Glencairn Stuart Ogilivie in the 1900s. His vision was to design the perfect holiday destination for his friends and family. Thorpeness still retains the charm and sophistication of that time, and remains a best-loved destination by those who visit.

Built in 1913, The Country Club is set in a stunning location overlooking the sea. It is an ideal and unique location for all kinds of celebrations; weddings, birthday and anniversary parties, christenings, dinner- dances and of course conferences right throughout the year.

Licensed for civil weddings, the Country Club has two floors available for hire, which may be used separately or in conjunction with each other.
